Chapter Two
When I took my SAAB to have the motor replaced (the insurance company
insisted on a used motor, not a rebuilt), the mechanic at the SAAB garage told
me
that a surprisingly small amount of water could cause this. Less than a
thimble full as I recall he said will reduce the compression chamber volume to
the
point that the piston can't push against it any longer, and as I think Cole
Porter said "Somethin's gotta give". (Not Cole Porter the mechanic, rather,
the composer).
