Yes.
> If so does it mimic a

A slipping OD normally cannot let the engine rev any higher than it would
with the OD disengaged.
A double fault (both main clutch and sprag clutch slipping) might let it rev
higher, but it's very unusual for the sprag clutch to slip without other
serious damage to the unit.
