Hey Guys,
Christmas has come early for me for I have copped an original Triumph alloy
valve cover. I paid way too much but still an amount south of the $1,100
Lucas battery on eBay. Besides I have some extra cash now that I have quit my
2.5 pack a day cigarette habit for 3 months now. This thing is a beautiful
piece to behold. Cloisonne Triumph World with the Script Triumph lettering
on
a bronze plate in the center of a gleaming finned and polished aluminum cover.
Just a few problems. If anyone has one of these, is the center plate
riveted or screwed on? Someone has removed the plate to polish it on the one
I
have. This plate has a few flaws in the Powder Blue World water and the
Signal
Red script lettering. Anyone know if this can be repaired? Last and most
important although the cover is complete with the unique, big & goofy hold
down
screws it is missing the oil filler cap. Anyone have a clue where to find a
suitable replacement?
This thing is sweet, not sure where I will use it.
Life is Good,
Darrell
