Fred, I don't think Mike intended to include YOU in the category of "jerk
customers".  

As a retired salesman yourself, I'm sure you're aware that there are always
some customers that fit in that category; but that doesn't mean that all
customers are jerks.  

Not even all the customers looking for a better deal are jerks (I hope !)
