Challenged the gods and drove the 3 to work this morning with the top down.
Deep overcast, but no rain, and I made it in.
All day, though, people asked me how I was going to drive home. Uhm, duh. I
have a top in the trunk.
"Oh," they said. I couldn't tell if they were disappointed, or just had no
concept of a car that carries it's convertible top in the trunk.
Uhm, duh reversal. When time came to drive home, it was already raining. I
had on khakis that needed washing anyway, a good hat, and a winter coat, so of
course left the top down and drove home in a warm rain. You really CAN outrun
most of the raindrops. The ones that leak in between the door and the bulkhead
do dampen pants, but oh well.
I looked pretty dumb, I suppose, but it was almost as much fun as in the
sunshine. ...At least this once.
Don't let the b*stds get you down. You can wait forever for life to be
perfect. Enjoy what you have while you have it.
