Have used it in both TRs for the past 6 years w/o any problem.
I have heard anecdotes of brake component failures that came after a
conversion to DOT5 but component failures do happen and random chance alone
will assure that some will follow owners' decisions to use DOT5... just as
some will follow owners' decisions to wear red hats that day. Such failures
aren't trivial but the issue of course is the question of causality.
This is probably an area where universal agreement is out of the question
but you are certainly correct to weigh all views and experiences before
deciding.
