Chris,

My wife drives an old Mercedes diesel sedan that I keep running.  I've 
bought a few tools that were Mercedes specific and Hazet was the 
manufacturer of these tools.  What few Hazet tools I have are very high 
quality.  The Mercedes repair manual also references Hazet tools for certain 
operations.  There are other makers of some of the Mercedes tools (Sir 
Tools, etc.) but the Hazet tools are what you would have found in a Mercedes 
mechanic's toolbox in Germany.  This does help support your idea that your 
car was exported from Germany.
