Thanks Randall. You are one of the great resources in the world of
Triumph. Wish I had been smart enough to do this while I had the
rocker rack off before.
In any case I have checked the springs per your instruction and no
glory. The springs were new with the rebuild and although the test is
subjective I can discern no difference in the force required to
compress them. Seems like a weak spring would have showed up in the
compression test. Of course the same could probably be said of a
sticky lifter or valve.
Any more ideas?
