Was there ever any update news on the alloy head that Canley Classics
was developing for the TR 6-cylinder engines?
I've been checking out the site and it just seems to have disappeared
(the product not the site) from view. Many other lightened bits though,
but no head.
The last images on the web from last summer show a cast blank ready for
machining. Undoubtedly vastly too expensive for casual replacement, but
knocking 2/3 of the weight of the head off the front end could have
quite an impact on the TR6's performance.
I'm not sure of the overall effect of a header, alloy water pump and
head, but the total would probably be over 100 lbs off the car's sprung
weight.
