Hey, after 14 months of hibernation, the TR is finally off to get re-sprayed,
in Apple Green again. I did lots of work to it this past year, new floors,
sills, straightened the fenders, etc. of which most was new to me. The last
week or so I did a lot of prep work and fixed some rough areas under the
bonnet so it doesn't look so bad when it comes back, i.e painted a lot,
wrapped some exposed wires, got my dremel out and polished the carbs, etc.
I hadn't started the car in well over a year, got the battery charged Friday,
topped off the bowels (tank is out) and it fired right up within 20 seconds
and idled perfect, smoked a little probably from the oil I squirted in the
cylinders last Oct. These motors are just the best...I'm so happy about this
I've changed all the fluids, polished her rocker cover, cleaned the plugs and
points and then just stood in amazement looking her....
