Dunno,
but speaking from personal experience maybe but expect
the worse.
'71 Impala, ok battery, about 90 minutes with the
headlights on.
'65 Ford station wagon, so-so battery, 45 minutes with
the headlights on; just long enough for me to end up
in Lovers' Lane. My girl friend (now Boss) thought it
was a creative twist to the "I ran out of gas" line
that got me nowhere the week before.
88.5 Samurai, old and new batteries; 60-75 minutes
with headlights on most of the time. Darn thing used
to die on a busy street one half block from the manor.
Good thing it was light enough to push home.
My daughter installed 5 alternators in that Suzuki
before Poop Boys gave me a cash refund. An alternator
from an old school parts store solved the problem.
So my suggestion would be to disable the headlights or
DTRL by whatever means. If there is not a fuse or
circuit breaker, just go under the hood and disconnect
the lamps.
The other thought is to get back to the store and
check things out. After all, they sold it to you and
said it would be ok...
