I want to get my TR3 absolutely level prior to welding on the sills &

string
from the center of one axle to the center of the other axle (stub) and check
this with a level. Are there any objections?

Paul, I think you'd be better off measuring height from floor at several
points on the CHASSIS and not any part of the suspension. Measuring from any
part of the suspension is no guarantee that the chassis is square, as tiny
variations in bushings, mounts and springs could confuse the measurement(s).

*Mrs Irrelevant: Oh, is it a jet?
*Man: Well, no ... It's not so much of a jet, it's more your, er,
Triumph Herald engine with wings.
