Something else to do when you get the motor apart. Use brake cleaner for a
final flush of the oiling system / block / pan. Regular mineral spirits parts
cleaner will get most of the metal out but it is a bit too oily to get all of
it.
Brake cleaner is a light solvent that will cut loose any remaining metal.
