Check the distributor clamp. My 'B has a tendency to advance timing if the
clamp isn't quite tight.
Pretty sad when I comment on the car and not the blonde. God I must be
getting old.

I drove the car to work anyway, stopped and filled the gas tank with premium
gas but that did not change things. By the time I got home the engine
seemed a bit down on power, idle was about 150 rpm lower with a pronounced
engine shake...
