Too much pressure will have fuel leaks.  Cutting pressure down with a regulator 
will restrict volume.

I think the best solution is to buy a low-pressure Facet pump and put both the 
high-pressure pump and the regulator on Ebay.

I had no complaints running the low-pressure Facet on my Weber in my Europa.
