Your local hardware store, Home Depot, etc. should sell an inexpensive scraper,
basically just a holder for a single edge razor blade (which they also sell).
It will remove almost anything from glass, without damaging the glass.  And a
lot easier for my fumble fingers to hold, than just a bare blade.
