Sure looks like a BMW Z car to me with no clear intent to be another future
model (just a more fuel efficient Z).

Subject: [TR] Is the Z2 really the new TRiumph?
In the latest issue of Car and Driver Magazine, there is a blurb on a new
BMW roadster, the Z2. Based on Z4 mechanicals, it will be shorter than the
Z4 and powered by 4 cylinder engines only (at least one of which is said to
be turbocharged), and designed to sell against the Miata at "under $30,000".
Could this in reality be the car that revives the TRiumph name? Since the
car will be built in SC (they claim it will come out in 2010), if it called
a TRiumph, will it be a British Car, a German car, or an American car?
Whatever it is, the artist's rendition clearly looks like a BMW, with no
hint that I can see of TRiumph.
