I've repaired batteries by melting the plastic with a soldering iron. ( mostly small punctures from crash damage. ) The trick is to keep the liquid acid away from the repair area while making the melt. As usual, test in a inconspicuous area before making the actual repair. Where is the battery leaking? On a seam or does it have case damage?
