Jim:
I f I understand the question correctly, the soft tucks under the rear
retaining bar. This holds the base of the top secure and the top actually
acts as a seal between the bar and the body.

Subject: [TR] Soft top rear rail seal
Hi, on the soft top rear rail, what seals it to prevent water from
coming into it on the TR6? The car I recently acquired had a hardtop
only and now I am trying to adopt a used soft top. I'm not sure exactly
what the rear rail to body should look like. Thanks, Jim
