I found my GT6 by long distance, listed on a website, probably Spitfire & GT6
Magazine's site (www.triumphspitfire.com), if I remember correctly, though
perhaps elsewhere. I emailed questions to the seller, he sent back pictures
and explanations. Eventually I spent some frequent-flyer miles to fly from
Boston to Ohio to see the car. It was exactly what the seller claimed. Some
months later by email we settled on a price and delivery details, and he
trailered it to Boston. So you could say that through I found it long
distance, I bought it short distance. I would never buy a car without seeing
it, or at least never trust a seller until I or someone else I trust could see
it.
