Greetings!
First time poster here but long time lurker and learner. Your advice
although not aimed at me, has proven invaluable while my father and I have
been returning his 67' 4A to the road. Thanks to all who provide answers
as well as those asking questions or those just passing on information.
On to the problem of the moment, day, actually the past three days. The
car is stock except for a recent alternator conversion and ran well before
the armature went south. Hence the conversion. Now the car idles well
but will not pull under load as it should. If the accelerator is kept to
the floor the car will hesitate not sputter and catch up after a few
seconds. When I describe hesitate, seems the engine wants to die.
Things I've checked. Rotor, cap, plug wires, condenser, fuel flow. We
are perplexed and are looking for some wisdom, advice, witchcraft,
voodoo....................anything that works really. Please copy me
directly as well as the list as I am in digest mode and am looking to have
the car running well soon.
Thanks,
Ashley deAristizabal
