Well said John. I think people want air conditioning and other creature
comforts much more than a responsive and fun to drive sports car.

Presumably NankyPooh Motors already have some form of distribution set-up in
place? If so, then it would be easy to tack an MG logo for each outlet, much
like BMW did for the Mini.
As far as what the car itself might be, I hope for everyone's sake that it
isn't a regurgitated MGF. IMHO - and I've always loved the MG marque, the
mid-engined thing made by Rover was a great disappointment. Not too sure
what I was looking for when I drove it the first time but the experience was
much in line with the MX5/Miata thread of a few weeks ago. The car did what
it was told to do, was completely unremarkable and utterly boring.
But maybe that's what modern drivers want ??????????????????????
