Henry Ford used positive ground for two reason, as mentioned prior as a rust prevenitive on the frame and chasis, he also said it would greatly improve the firing of spark plugs, it's in the facorty Model "A": book, Ford change to negative ground in 1956 due mostly to all of the accessories for after market sales were negative ground.
