One of the interior door panels on my 75 TR6 has some water damage to the
fiberboard backing and it needs to be replaced. Instead of using fiberboard
again, I was thinking of using a piece of 1/4" oak veneer plywood that I have
left
over from a cabinet making project. The two are roughly the same nominal
thickness but the plywood is much sturdier and probably alot more moisture
resistant. Any thoughts on this? Also, the foam backing seems to be glued to
the
fiberboard in areas where there is piping on the face of the panel. Any ideas
on
how to separate the two without trashing the foam backing?
Thanks again for your collective wisdom. It's always appreciated.
