At least on cars with OD, the factory cut a new hole for the washer pump, in the
triangular area between the glove box and the gauge panel. ISTR someone has a
photo of this up on their website, maybe Teri Ann's ? If you have a driver's
instruction manual (or a Bentley), it's also shown in Fig 1.
I believe that was true even for non-OD cars, but since none of my non-OD cars
has had a factory/dealer washer bottle, I'm not certain about that.
