Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, Tim, but I think Saab had started  
messing with what was by then a 2-liter engine by the mid-1970s. Like my mom's  
'74 Volvo, it was a typically Swedish blend of old and new: K-Jetronic fuel  
injection...and a Bosch points distributor! :-) And that Saab's distributor  
could "eat" points like no Lucas or Delco distributor I've ever seen.
