FWIW I have used Rotella 10W-40 (a great oil for diesel engines, very high detergency & additive pack) for years in my TR with no ill effects. Oil pressure remains what it was 20K miles ago. I also run a can of Sea Foam through the intake (via the brake servo vacuum hose) every 5K miles or so to keep things relatively decarbonized.
