OK. I may be confusing L-R with Jaguar which was a part of JRT but was spun
off as a venture in it's own right. Once free of the JRT bureaucracy they
were able to restructure their supplier relationships and demand the kind of
quality necessary to compete in the industry. Then Ford bought them.
