TR6 door panels

Does anyone have an easy way to line up the door oanel clips with the holes in 
the door. The panels that were on my car were not hung correctly so I could not 
use them as a template. The new panels came with pre drilled holes but It is 
very difficult trying to line up the holes in the door. Any suggestions would 
be welcomed
