Here we go,
Let me say that Randall and I agree on a lot of things, actually most things
but we have always differed on this subject.
I don't feel that VTR has been high-handed at all and as a matter of fact I
supported opening up the information to everyone when this topic came up
some time ago. They have decided otherwise and I'm OK with that as I'm not
in a leadership position at VTR. I will maintain my membership however for
many more reasons than the Technical pages.
I too have made a contribution to the list individually, it's time to do so
again.
My statement..... "Join the VTR and enjoy an excellent Organization that is
devoted to the folks who own Triumphs of all types and all over the world."
is not demonstrably false because of VTR limiting information to
non-members. Organization of all types maintain their information for their
members, it's their prerogative to do so and to charge dues for maintaining
that information. I ask would we as a community of Triumph owners be better
off with or without VTR? It's an easy answer in my opinion. Pay to play.
I know it's not a flame but we do disagree on this topic and I suspect we
always will.
