Fred, you might consider putting it on eBay. At the very least, the ad will
be seen by a great many people who are looking for Bonnys and parts. Might
not get as much as if you wait for just the right collector to happen by
(with eBay, you only get what the second highest bidder is willing to pay,
plus a little, not necessarily all the highest bidder might have paid), but
it might lessen your friend's pain at losing his dream. Twere best done
quickly ...
