Starting the rebuild of my early tr4 seats.
A few months ago, someone mentioned that it is alot easier to replace the
plywood nailing strip on the seats with a plastic strip available at
upholstery supplys.
Anyone who has taken on this task knows the existing plywood is SHOT.
On the TR3A, My dad did the seats completly from scratch, made the strips by
steaming wood etc. Well my dad passed away and the upholstery genes were not
passed on to me.
Does anyone have the exact product name and a link where I can order some of
this stuff?
Also, does anyone know if I can get some of that very thin vinyl to cover the
dash switch plinth (part # 705206)?
And as far as getting the Triumph out, Did manage to ride the T-Bird to work
both today and yesterday, Mid 30's on the way to work, High 40's on the way
home. But I guess bikes dont count!
Thanks,
Bob Labuz
