The Acclaim IS a very good car, and very well thought of by many in the UK -
they have gained a strong following in Triumph circles over the last 5-6
years. Of course there are those who remain sniffy about them because they
aren't "proper" Triumphs, just re-badged Hondas. Always fun to wind up these
purists by asking which pre-WW2 Triumph they own, on the understanding
anything later is justy a re-badged Standard....
On the subject of parts, the Acclaim doesn't have the same established
supply network as the traditional models. Having said that, there is a
network of enthusiasts, with a few part time traders. Get in touch with Andy
Ellis as a starting point:
