In case some don't know, the later TR3A dashes were covered a lot
differently than the earlier ones were.  Early ones were just vinyl and
glue, as Jim noted they peel apart fairly easily.  The later ones were much
different under the surface ... apparently some sort of molding or heat
vulcanizing process that resulted in a much stronger bond (and smoother
covering).

ISTR the change was at TS60000, but I could be mistaken.  Sorry, no help on
how to remove it.  I've always had pre-60K cars, where the main problem is
how to keep it on !  Removing the clips and looking at it crosseyed will
usually take it off <G>
