If you check your oil and find that the level is higher than normal or
immediately after driving find that it resembles a light colored mush,
it is likely that you have water getting into the crankcase.

This could be caused by a leaking head gasket or some other connection
of the two systems (like the water pump).

I've only driven a few short trips, but I've noticed that if I pop my  
hood after driving long enough to get the car up to temperature there  
is a bit of vapor/steam/smoke(?) coming from the oil filler neck on  
the valve cover. I pulled off the cap and noticed that it is set up  
to vent to the atmosphere. Is this normal?
