That's kosher. But the CC57838 is what is on the commission plate and we
are
a little unsure that there isn't a little swapparo going on. The engine
also
has a commission number which doesn't match the car's but should be in the
ball park.

What about body number? gearbox number? differential number? All of them
might give some clue as to how much (or little) of a "mongrel" the car might
be,
especially the body number.

*Mrs Irrelevant: Oh, is it a jet?
*Man: Well, no ... It's not so much of a jet, it's more your, er,
Triumph Herald engine with wings.
