My '3 had them when I got it. I like them, except that the wind now tends
to come up under the windwings and hit you on the arm when at high speed. I
t tends to blow your shirt sleeve up to your shoulder. And true, there is
still a lot of buffeting at very high speeds (though without OD, I usually
don't real fast.....)
The idea of expanding the wind wing such that it also covers the area above
the door cut out is a good one.
I like mine, and keep them on all the time. They clamp to the back of the
windscreen frame with a couple of chincy aluminium brackets with a set screw
in each - don't over tighten them!
