Hi guys,
I just installed a rebuilt engine and tranny in my TR3A (TS81398LO) and things
were going along well (I love the OD) until the solenoid quit.
I removed the solenoid and bench tested it.....it works fine. I polished up
bore and the plunger and refit.
It worked for a while and quit again...back under the car I found the plunger
resting on the bracket ear. I lifted the plunger (key on, switch on, in 4th)and
it worked......hmmmmm, I says to meself.....out of range?????
Question: Is there a way to check the position of the actuating lever? I set it
up with a 3/16" drill but I fear that I may have mispositioned the drive pin
when I made a new actuating shaft. If this is so, then I'd like to get a
dimension between the bottom of the plunger and the bracket ear when the
plunger is at rest so I can set the actuating lever correctly.
Does this sound like anything you can help me with?
Thanks
