Fred's question made me go look at my Dist. & Advance. The dist. that came
with my car is a #40480A dated 1-59 and it had a 7-14-10 vac. advance that I
replaced with a 5-11-7. A complete spare I have is a #40698A dated 6-60 and
it has a 2-6-3 vac. advance. One more spare I have in pieces is a #40480
dated 3-59 with a 4-11-7 vac. advance. So, all I know is, I have alot of junk
that means nothing. Kent Shrack 1960 TR3a (TS78563) with 86mm jugs.

I can't help too much except to note that all of the 40480 distributors
ultimately superseded to the 40698, and all would have originally had the
54411480 advance unit.

*Mrs Irrelevant: Oh, is it a jet?
*Man: Well, no ... It's not so much of a jet, it's more your, er,
Triumph Herald engine with wings.
