I've heard before that the glazing sold by most LBC vendors is too thick for
easy assembly.  When I did my TR3A many years ago, I took the pieces to a
local auto glass place and asked for help.  They sold me a black glazing
strip that was much thinner, even thinner than friction tape (which it
resembled) and things went much easier after that.
