When ever we do a long trip in the TR, I always make three (or more) piles
of stuff.  The piles are stuff that I would like to take, stuff that I need
to take and stuff that I must take.   Simply load the "must' stuff first and
continue until you run out of room.

If you are still married after the 6000 mile trip then you indeed have a
keeper!
