Hey Paul:
Try using "Soda" as your blasting media. It can be swept away & the rain
will wash it away. No environmental issues (other than the crap coming of
the items you are cleaning.
Benefits
You can sandblast paint off a car without masking the chrome & windows
without damage & it cleans away with water. The soda residue will act as a
rust
preventive while you wait to paint.
The only draw back is.. Soda will not blast away rust. You have to move up
to a more aggressive media to do that.
Good Luck
Bob

I wish I could say it was my wife, who has to put up with the sand OUTDOORS
when I sandblast (and some of it gets swept onto the grass!), but, I hate the
grit all over the place. Is there any other sandblasting media which might
do
a better job for blasting AND can also be swept onto the grass? In other
words, I don't want soot or sparkles or stryrfoam bits in the yard.
Thanks,
Paul Dorsey (bachelor #1)
