I would add to Phil's excellent suggestion: clean the greasy parts first,
before putting in the baggies with notepaper. I didn't think of that, in
the heat of ripping apart... ah... disassembling my engine. Ten years
later I have nicely bagged greasy, grimy parts with translucent note paper
with no apparent writing. Too late I started using permanent marker on the
outside of the bag.
