Hello All!
I hope your weather was as nice as ours today - 78 degrees in Illinois under
clear skies. Rain for the next 2 days though.

So - here is my question:

1) I just measured the angle of my differential drive flange unloaded and it
was 2.5 degrees, with the thrust centerline being high at the rear and tilting
down at the front. In other words the flange points down to a point on the
ground in front of it rather than up in the air.

2) A while back I measured the angle under unladen load and it was 5 degrees -
same aspect.

The reason I need to know is because I'm setting up the V8 engine and tranny
mounts and had made the "assumption" that the tranny mount would set the whole
thing up with the correct angle, but with the tranny being LOWER than the
engine, so that the tranny drive angle points down and behind. This would be
correct if the differential pointed up - but it does not appear too.

Here's a link which will show my concern - the thrust lines must be parallel
http://www.iedls.com/ptsetup.html

So for you list Gurus - does the TR3 have the tranny output flange a few
degrees higher than the motor, and the differential drive flange pointing to
the ground, or am I missing something?

Thanks for the help!

Wayne
