I just turned 50, on Feb. 9th, that's hard to believe and hard to admit. I
bought my first Triumph in 1976, from a Triumph dealer, it was a French blue 74
TR6, with 28,000 miles on it. He had a brand new 76 TR6 in the showroom, but I
couldn't afford it. I drove that car year round through rain, sleet and snow,
then traded it in 1979 for brand new Datsun 280ZX, both very nice and
enjoyable cars. I then bought a 64 and a 65 TR4 in the early 80's, one for
parts. I
sold the parts car about a year ago and the driver about three years ago. I now
own a 55 TR2, that's a project car, and recently bought a 80 TR8, with a
modified V8.
