Any idea why ?  On my 56 TR3 block, it turned out to be because the liner seats
weren't parallel to the head surface and were too deep on one side.  Increasing
power output will sometimes aggravate such problems.

You might want to at least check them for wear.  Worn cam bearings can be a
frustrating cause of low oil pressure.
