Yes Aaron, it did happen to me. Original equipment pressure sending unit failed
after 25+ years in service. Quite a surprise! Don't know how common it is but
sure does dump a lot of oil in a very short time. I concluded that the unit
served its purpose very well for a considerable # of years, that the sensor
membrane finally failed from old age and I happily bought a new one which has
held up for the past 6 yrs or so nicely. Such is life.

Yesterday, I managed to go from a full sump of oil to practically none in
the matter of 10 miles. Unannounced to me, it was pouring out the pressure
sensor on my 74 TR6. I don't know the history of the sensor. It may be
original. Has this happened to anyone else? Was there ever a bad batch of
them?
