Hi Hugh,
For me, this would be the same procedure as changing out a hub unit. I
usually just jack up the car, remove the break shoes & associated
hardware. Then , remove the bolts holding the hub, cut or open the band
holding the inboard side of the boot & pull it out. All this is done
without getting under the car & should take about 30 minutes.
Of course, while your in there grease the axle spline & inspect the
u-joints.
On assembly always take care not to over tighten the hub nuts.
