I'd be happy to convert it to .pdf, but there are a few problems. Firstly,
the resolution of the original document is not high enough. It needs to be
at least 300dpi, preferably 600 to put it through OCR successfully.
Secondly, contrast is low, which doesn't help with OCR either.
And thirdly, the document is full of imperial fractions. I don't know any
current font that contains characters for things like 5/16, 25/32 and
27/32.
While I can easily work round the last problem by making images of the
columns with imperial fractions in them, the first two are pretty much
insurmountable until better scans are available.
Anyone?
