If that's how he treats you when you're a 'prospect'... imagine how it 
will be if (when) there's a problem.

Phone manners or not, I'd pick a shop that's convenient for visiting 
often.  As my 4-6 week body work stretched to 16 months I was a frequent 
and unannounced visitor.  End results were great and even worth the wait.
